Challenge Maze is currently available only for Windows computers with Windows 7 or higher installed or Mac computers running a Windows 7 or higher emulator. If you have a windows computer or emulator that is an earlier version of windows, Challenge Maze may still work if .NET 3.5 (aka. dotNet 3.5) is installed.
Challenge Maze is not optimized for tablets but if the tablet meets the previously mentioned specifications, has a large enough screen resolution, has the Windows 'Display' option for 'Scaling Level' not set too high, and has a physical keyboard to use, the software may run smoothly enough.   Challenge Maze software has NOT been tested on Windows RT.
Scan anything you download from the internet, including the Challenge Maze Software, for viruses. I cannot guarantee any effect the Challenge Maze ZIP file may or may not have on your computing device.   It seems best to play it safe and use a trusted virus scanning software before using the Challenge Maze software.   Do not install the software on any computing device until you have thoroughly protected the device and it's data. This includes testing the software on a lesser important device if necessary.   Backup any important data prior to installing and using the software on your computing device.
Read the 'Legal Notice' contained in the download.   It has the rules governing the use of the Challenge Maze Software and some cautions about any harm the Challenge Maze Software may cause.
The file is in a compressed 'ZIP' format.   A 'right-click' on the 'ChallengeMaze.zip' file may provide a way to proceed with uncompressing/extracting the files or a double 'left-click' may allow a chance to copy the files inside to an uncompressed folder.   If you are not able to uncompress the file, please search the internet for help.   Any further help about how to extract or uncompress 'ZIP' files cannot currently be found on this site.   Once the file has been uncompressed the inside of the Challenge Maze folder may look similar to the following:
The file named 'ChallengeMaze' is the game software.   The folder named 'Data' is where all the 'Maze Making' can be done.   You can Move the entire 'Challenge Maze' folder wherever you would like on your computer.   However, you must keep the 'ChallengeMaze' file and the 'Data' folder together inside of it.   Once you have moved the 'Challenge Maze' folder to where you would like, you are ready to start Playing Mazes or Making Mazes. You can then simply double-click the Challenge Maze file to launch the software. There is no further installation required.
Since things like 'Challengers', 'Mazes', 'Decorations', sounds, images, etc....   are reusable in the Challenge Maze Software, there may be some extra versions of these types of things available on this site from time to time.   Perhaps after the BETA testing period, or perhaps if anyone builds some extras they would like to share.   Extras can be put up on this site.   Perhaps a repository of many different disciplines can be amassed.   If you would like to share some extras, please email nrocha@challengemaze.com
